Pound Speculators Marginally Reduce Net Short Positions

Large currency speculators pulled back to marginally reduce their net short positions in the Pound futures market, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of Pound futures, traded by large speculators and hedge funds, totaled a net short position of 26098 contracts in the data reported through November 21, 2023. This was a weekly fall of 1632 net contracts. Speculators are slowly reversing after staying bearish since similar levels attained in January this year.
