US Dollar Index Speculative Longs At Eight-Month High

The large currency market speculators continued to increase their long positions in the US dollar futures, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of US dollar index futures, traded by large speculators and hedge funds, totaled a net position of 16,758 contracts in the data reported through September 26, 2023. This was a weekly rise of 1124 net contracts and net longs continue to be at their highest levels since end January this year, an eight month high.
