US Dollar Index Speculative Longs Rise From Two Year Low

The large currency market speculators increased their long positions in the US dollar futures, according to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The non-commercial futures contracts of US dollar index futures, traded by large speculators and hedge funds, totaled a net position of 4991 contracts in the data reported through August 15, 2023. This was a weekly surge of 2367 net contracts. The speculative net longs have edged up from lowest in last two years.
