    What is Absolute Return?

Absolute Return is the total percentage return on the invested amount. The timing of your investments won’t affect this.

    What is NAV?

NAV or Net Asset Value of the fund is the cumulative market value of the assets of the fund net of its liabilities. NAV per unit is simply the net value of assets divided by the number of units outstanding. Buying and selling into funds is done on the basis of NAV-related prices.

    NAV is calculated as follows:

    NAV =

Market value of the fund's investments + Receivables + Accrued Income-Liabilities -Accrued Expenses
    __________________________________________________________________________
    Number of Outstanding units

    What is Exit Load?

The non-refundable fee paid to the Asset Management Company at the time of redemption/ transfer of units between schemes of mutual funds is termed as exit load. It is deducted from the NAV (selling price) at the time of such redemption/ transfer.

    What is redemption price?

Redemption price is the price received on selling units of open-ended scheme. If the fund does not levy an exit load, the redemption price will be same as the NAV. The redemption price will be lower than the NAV in case the fund levies an exit load.

    What is repurchase price?

Repurchase price is the price at which a close-ended scheme repurchases its units. Repurchase can either be at NAV or can have an exit load.

    What are Cut-off times?

The Cut-off timing is the time before which an investor has to submit a valid purchase or withdrawal/ redemption request on our website and mobile apps to be eligible for a particular day's applicable Net Asset Value (NAV).

    What is a folio number?

Much like a bank account number, a Folio number is your Account Number in a Mutual Fund Scheme, under which your Unit holdings in a mutual fund scheme are recorded in the Unit Holders’ Register. Most Mutual Funds allot a Master Folio number, so that Unit holdings of a unit holder (or same set of unit holders, in case of joint holders) are shown under a common folio number thereby avoiding the need to remember multiple folio numbers.

What is meant by Power of Compounding?

Power of Compounding is when the interest (or income) you earn is reinvested in the original corpus and accumulated corpus continues to earn (& grow). Every time this happens, your investment keeps growing, paving the way for a systematic accumulation of money, multiplying over time.

    What is XIRR?

XIRR is the annualized returns on your current holdings where there are multiple transactions at different times.

    What is meant by Redemption?

Redemption is the process of withdrawing the mutual fund units from your investments.

    What is meant by Switch?

Switch is a type of transaction wherein units/amount are redeemed from an open-ended Scheme (Source Scheme) of a particular AMC and invested in another open-ended Scheme (Target Scheme) of the same AMC. In simple words, transferring holdings from one Scheme to another Scheme within same AMC.

    What is meant by SWP?

SWP is a type of transaction wherein units/amount are withdrawn systematically in a pre-defined frequency.

    What is meant by STP?

STP is a type of transaction wherein units/amount are transferred systematically in a pre-defined frequency from an open-ended Scheme (Source Scheme) of a particular AMC to another open-ended Scheme (Target Scheme) of the same AMC.

What is Consolidated Account Statement (CAS)?

Consolidated Account Statement (CAS) is a single/combined account statement which shows the details of financial transactions made by an investor during a month across all Mutual Funds and also other securities held in dematerialised (Demat) mode.
CAS is issued for those folios / accounts wherein a financial transaction has been made during a month and wherein unit holders are identical, identified by Income Tax Permanent Account (PAN). CAS is generated on a monthly basis in respect of the PANs common to the RTAs and the Depositories.
