    Smart Stocks Alert

    For how long would the status of an alert remain open?

    All Direct iAlerts in the open status are valid for a period of one month from the date of placement. Direct Alerts in the open status for a period of more than one month get expired.

    iAlerts & Customized Alerts will keep changing for Stocks on a case-to-case basis.

    Who can avail Smart Stocks Alert service?

    All customers of ICICIdirect, with a valid user ID and Password and have registered their mobile numbers with us can subscribe to receiving alerts on their mobile phone.

    What are the types of alerts available?

    Currently, you can receive Direct Alerts, Customized Alerts, and iAlerts.

    What are the types of alerts available while placing a sell order?

    While selling shares, iAlerts are available for penny stocks, stocks which are going to give out dividends or are going to be eligible for Long-Term Capital Gain.

    Can I have more than one alert for a particular scrip?

    Yes, you can place multiple alerts for particular scrip in case of Direct Alerts.

    How can I change my mobile number and when would I get alerts on my new number?

    You can change your mobile number through the following steps: Login on the ICICI Direct website > Go to Settings > General Profile

    How many alerts can I place using Smart Stocks Alert?
    1.iAlerts are automatic alerts. Similarly, customized alerts are alerts on your portfolio and will work as per customer’s request and stock price movement.
    2.In case of Direct Alerts, you can place maximum of 50 alerts. Once an alert has been placed, it will remain open for a period of one month from the date of placement or until     the same is cancelled by you or is executed. If you have subscribed to the maximum number of alerts permitted, you would not be permitted to subscribe for any additional       alerts until you cancel any of the existing open alerts or if any of the open alerts expire or get executed.
    Can I modify or cancel the alert request?
    1.Any open Direct Alert can also be modified or cancelled. This modification or cancellation can be done at any time up to execution of the alert request. However once the             request gets executed, the same cannot be modified or cancelled. The stock code also cannot be changed. Only the price, condition and alert type can be changed.
    2.In case of Customized Alerts, you can modify the updates that you wish to receive by ticking the description against the Category in ‘Manage Subscription’ Section. It can be       done for Mailer Subscription, SMS Subscription & WhatsApp subscription.
    What are the stocks available for setting alerts?
    1.iAlert is an auto-activated feature available for all customers and is integrated in the order placement journey. The pop-up comes instantly for junk or high-risk Stocks                 (depending on the case), when traders try to buy/sell shares.
    2.Customized Alerts are available for Stocks present in your portfolio.
    3.Direct Alerts could be set for desired Stocks listed on NSE and BSE.
    Are there any charges for setting Alerts?

    iAlerts, Customized Alerts & Direct Alerts (up to 50 alerts) are completely free and no additional charges are involved for their subscription.
