Nifty April futures trade at premium

The Nifty April 2023 futures closed at 17,474.95, a premium of 76.9 points compared with the Nifty`s closing of 17,398.05 in the cash market.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 gained 38.30 points or 0.22% to settle at 17,398.05.

The NSE`s India VIX, a gauge of market`s expectation of volatility over the near term, slipped 2.70% to 12.59.

Reliance Industries (RIL), ICICI Bank and Adani Enterprises were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The April 2023 F&O contracts will expire on 27 April 2023.
