NIFTY AUGUST FUTURES TRADE AT PREMIUM

The Nifty August 2023 futures closed at 19,598.60, a premium of 55.5 points compared with the Nifty`s closing 19,543.10 in the cash market.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 lost 89.45 points or 0.46% to settle at 19,543.10.

The NSE`s India VIX, a gauge of market`s expectation of volatility over the near term, advanced 2.33% to 11.40.

ZEE Entertainment Enterprises, HDFC Bank and Reliance Industries were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The August 2023 F&O contracts will expire on 31 August 2023.
