Nifty December futures trade at premium

The Nifty December 2023 futures closed at 20,953, a premium of 97.9 points compared with the Nifty`s closing 20,855.10 in the cash market.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 added 168.30 points or 0.81% to 20,855.10.

The NSE`s India VIX, a gauge of market`s expectation of volatility over the near term, jumped 3.57% to 13.46.

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ), Adani Enterprises and ICICI Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The December 2023 F&O contracts will expire on 28 December 2023.
