NIFTY JULY FUTURES TRADE AT PREMIUM

The Nifty July 2021 futures were at 15,761.3, a premium of 8.9 points compared with Nifty`s spot closing of 15,752.40.

Turnover on the National Stock Exchange`s futures & options (F&O) segment was Rs 44.36 lakh crore compared with Rs 28.26 lakh crore in the previous session.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 index slumped 171 points or 1.07% to 15,752.40.

The NSE`s India VIX, a gauge of market`s expectation of volatility over the near term, jumped 8.32% to 12.68.

Adani Ports & Special Economic Zzone, HDFC Bank and Reliance Industries were the top traded stock futures contracts in F&O segment for July expiry.

The July F&O contracts will expire on 29 July 2021.
