Nifty October futures trade at premium

The Nifty October 2023 futures closed at 19,851.80, a premium of 40.45 points compared with the Nifty`s closing 19,811.35 in the cash market.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 advanced 121.50 points or 0.62% to settle at 19,811.35.

The NSE`s India VIX, a gauge of market`s expectation of volatility over the near term, declined 2.52% to 10.99.

Infosys, Reliance Industries and Tata Consultancy Services were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The October 2023 F&O contracts will expire on 26 October 2023.
