Nifty September futures trade at premium

The Nifty September 2023 futures closed at 19,520.10, a premium of 84.8 points compared with the Nifty`s closing 19,435.30 in the cash market.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 advanced 181.50 points or 0.94% to settle at 19,435.30.

The NSE`s India VIX, a gauge of market`s expectation of volatility over the near term, slumped 5.78% to 11.37.

Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The September 2023 F&O contracts will expire on 28 September 2023.
