Nifty September futures trade at premium

The Nifty September 2023 futures closed at 20,186.60, a premium of 83.5 points compared with the Nifty`s closing 20,103.10 in the cash market.

In the cash market, the Nifty 50 added 33.10 points or 0.16% to settle at 20,103.10.

The NSE`s India VIX, a gauge of market`s expectation of volatility over the near term, tumbled 4.31% to 11.32.

HDFC Bank, Reliance Industries (RIL) and State Bank of India (SBI) were the top traded individual stock futures contracts in F&O segment of NSE.

The September 2023 F&O contracts will expire on 28 September 2023.
