HDFC Bank announces dividend of Rs 15.50 per share
HDFC Bank has announced a dividend of Rs 15.50 per equity share (with a face value of Re 1 each) for FY22. This is the highest payout in the last 11 years. As per exchange filing, the record date for determining eligibility of entitled members to receive dividend was announced as on May 13, 2022 (ex date – May 13, 2022). In the pre-Covid period, HDFC Bank has been announcing dividend in the range of 18-19% of earnings. The same has been at ~22% of earnings in FY22, highest seen in the last several years.
