News: ABB Ltd the parent company of ABB India reported a muted set of QCY24 results with weak internals which include no growth in global inflows and 4% YoY growth in each revenues and order backlog. From geography perspective, order inflows for Indian subsidiary has grown by 3% YoY.
Views: Though the reported order inflows look weak optically but the weakness can be contributed to the general elections and code of conduct which could have restricted inflows in a quarter which is weak seasonally as well. The stock also reacted negatively to the same during market hours. However, we believe ABB is a key medium to long term beneficiary of the current capex cycle given the product and segment profile it has and caters to all emerging segment of capex cycle.
