EICHER MOTORS INTRODUCED TWO MODELS ON 650 TWIN PLATFORM
News: Royal Enfield has unveiled two new motorcycles, the Bear 650 and Classic 650, both built on the acclaimed 650 Twin platform, which is known for its smooth performance and character. The Bear 650, priced at ₹3.39 lakh, is a scrambler that draws inspiration from Eddie Mulder's legendary win at the 1960 Big Bear Run, featuring a retro design with a powerful 648cc parallel twin engine that delivers 47 bhp and 56.5 Nm of torque. The motorcycle is equipped with modern features such as a TFT display with Google Maps integration and full LED lighting for enhanced visibility. Meanwhile, the Classic 650 retains the iconic design elements of Royal Enfield’s heritage while offering modern performance enhancements, including refined gear shifts and superior stability. Both models reflect Royal Enfield's commitment to blending classic styling with contemporary engineering, catering to riders who appreciate both tradition and innovation. Bookings for the Bear 650 will commence on November 10, 2024, and for Classic 650 starting January 2025, marking an exciting addition to Royal Enfield's line up.
Views: Royal Enfield has seen a 4.4% YTD increase in total sales which is led by 37.5% YTD increase in sales of >350cc segment. With the introduction of new models in this segment, Royal Enfield is poised to benefit from them. Also, the company is seeing healthy export volumes pegged at 7.9% of total sales which further strengthens their position in the 2w market. Along with the launch of new EV brand Flying flea, Royal Enfield looks to capture the E2W ecosystem as well. We hold a positive view on the company with monthly wholesale volumes run-rate being the key monitorable going forward.
