RELIANCE BRANDS TO FORAY INTO FOOD & BEVERAGE RETAIL WITH UK BASED CHAIN ‘PRET A MANGER’
RELIANCE - 1205 Change: -25.15 (-2.04 %)News: As per media reports, Reliance Brands (RBL) has signed a long-term franchise partnership with Pret A Manger (global fresh food & organic coffee chain) to launch and build the brand in India.
Views: Reliance Brands has over the last 14 years nurtured and grown many global brands in India. The franchise partnership with a reputed global brand like Pret A Manger ( 550 shops globally across 9 countries) would enable RBL to foray into fast growing Indian food and beverage market which has strong growth potential over the longer term. RBL will open the food chain across the country starting with major cities and travel hubs. Pret A Manger will join the heated competition in India’s cafe market, dominated Cafe Coffee Day and Starbucks, which operates more than 500 and 250 stores respectively across India. Reliance is planning to open the first Pret store in Mumbai before March 2023. RBL and Pret A Manger have ambitious growth plans and expect India to become one of Pret’s top three markets in the world within a span of three years.
