On April 10, BSE hit a 52-week high when it crossed over 75,000 - it is also its lifetime high. The BSE 52-week high refers to the highest trading price of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) over the past 52 weeks (one year). It represents the highest price level at which the index has traded during that period, regardless of the actual trading volume.
Investors and traders often use the BSE 52-week high as a reference point for making investment decisions. Some may choose to buy stocks trading near their 52-week highs in anticipation of further upside potential, while others may prefer to wait for a pullback or consolidation before entering a position.
In a regulatory filing, the company has informed exchanges that it has bagged Single Largest Order of 2104 Fully Built Buses from Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation. This order is for Supply of BSVI OBD II Diesel Fuel Type Fully Built Passenger Bus. The said order is to be executed over August 2024-August 2025 with total order value pegged at ₹ 982 crore (i.e. ₹ 46.6 lakh/unit).

Ministry of Civil Aviation announces the implementation of a uniform IGST rate of 5% on all aircraft and aircraft engine parts, effective from 15th July 2024. Earlier, IGST rates on all aircraft & engine parts were ranging from 5%-28%. The decision taken is to boost the MRO (maintenance, repair & overhaul) industry as it aims to reduce operational costs, resolving tax credit issues, and attracting investment.

Lupin divested its U.S. Commercial Women’s Health Specialty Business to Evofem Biosciences a U.S. biopharmaceutical company focused exclusively on Women’s Health.Under the terms of the deal, Lupin can receive a potential total consideration of up to USD 84 million(Rs 702 crore) based on future contingent milestones. Lupin’s U.S. Commercial Women’s Health Specialty Business is primarily focused on commercializing SOLOSEC(secnidazole) 2g oral granules used for the treatment of bacterial vaginosis (BV) and trichomoniasis, two common sexual health infections.

Within this, Vehicle sales (including agency sales) amounted to ₹ 918 crore, up by 26% YoY and After Sales service reported revenue growth of 15.8% YoY to ₹ 220 crore. Pre-owned vehicle segment also reported a revenue of ₹ 28 crore, up by 64.7% YoY.

HDFC Life Insurance delivered healthy Q1FY25 results with a 15% YoY rise in net profit and an 18% increase in backbook surplus. Premium growth came in at 9% YoY, driven by both new business premium (up 9% YoY to ₹ 6,400 crore) and renewals (10% increase YoY). Product-wise, unit linked and non-par business witnessed strong traction, while par segment remained slower. Value of new business (VNB) grew by 18% YoY to ₹ 718 crore, although VNB margin contracted by 120 basis points to 25%, due to change in product mix. AUM surpassed ₹ 3 lakh crore, while embedded value stood at ₹49611 crore, up 19%.

HDFC AMC reported robust performance, amid rising equities, with market share gain. Strong AUM growth at 16% QoQ (₹7.05 lakh crore), driven by equity AUM (18% QoQ growth), led 11.5% QoQ growth in revenue (₹775 crore) and earnings growth at 11.6% (₹604 crore). Revenue yield declined 2 bps QoQ to 44 bps due to increase in AUM and the same was visible in bottom-line.
