QUICK WRAP: NIFTY AUTO INDEX RISES 1.79%, NIFTY JUMPS 1.08%

Nifty Auto index closed up 1.79% at 13584.25 today. The index is up 9.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Tata Motors Ltd added 4.90%, Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd jumped 3.94% and Bharat Forge Ltd rose 2.37%. The Nifty Auto index is up 29.00% over last one year compared to the 11.29% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Private Bank index added 1.70% and Nifty Realty index increased 1.64% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 witnessed a rise of 1.08% to close at 18264.4 while the SENSEX recorded a gain of 1.16% to close at 61764.25 today.
