QUICK WRAP: NIFTY IT INDEX FALLS 1.77%

Nifty IT index ended down 1.77% at 26687.45 today. The index has slipped 6.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Coforge Ltd shed 3.13%, LTI Mindtree Ltd fell 2.87% and HCL Technologies Ltd slipped 2.36%. The Nifty IT index has fallen 16.00% over last one year compared to the 3.89% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Media index has dropped 1.71% and Nifty PSU Bank index has slid 0.84% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has declined 0.23% to close at 17618.75 while the SENSEX has dropped 0.27% to close at 59567.8 today.
