QUICK WRAP: NIFTY MEDIA INDEX DECLINES 12.87%, NIFTY TUMBLES 1.54%

Nifty Media index ended down 12.87% at 2067.3 today. The index is down 14.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd shed 32.61%, Network 18 Media & Investments Ltd slipped 9.99% and Dish TV India Ltd fell 8.29%. The Nifty Media index is up 9.00% over last one year compared to the 17.22% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Realty index is down 5.31% and Nifty PSE index is down 4.30% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 is down 1.54% to close at 21238.8 while the SENSEX has dropped 1.47% to close at 70370.55 today.
