Quick Wrap: Nifty PSE Index gains 3.19%, NIFTY jumps 1.01%

Nifty PSE index closed up 3.19% at 8294.05 today. The index has gained 9.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, REC Ltd added 7.53%, Power Finance Corporation Ltd rose 6.62% and NHPC Ltd jumped 5.86%. The Nifty PSE index has soared 84.00% over last one year compared to the 18.41% increase in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Media index gained 3.06% and Nifty Metal index increased 2.96% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 increased 1.01% to close at 21453.95 while the SENSEX recorded a gain of 0.98% to close at 71060.31 today.
