As per regulatory filing, the company has appointed Mr. Rajeev Khandelwal, as Senior President and Head of Trade Business with effect from 20th Nov 2024. He will be responsible for the B2C businesses of the Company. Mr. Rajeev Khandelwal is a seasoned P&L Leader with over 30 years of experience in growing brands and building successful businesses. His last role was as President - Strategy and Business Expansion at RPSG Group, FMCG business. Prior to it he has worked with consumer goods companies like P&G, Gillette, Reckitt, etc. and across geographies.

As per media sources, the government has now restored demand subsidy on electric 3W intended for cargo use (L5 category) under PM-E-Drive Scheme. This is following the annual subsidy target (80,546 units) was met well before the prescribed time limit and authorities stopping further subsidy to this segment. The subsidy amount however has now been reduced from ₹ 50,000/unit to ₹ 25,000/unit. 

As per media sources, Domestic steelmakers have been advocating for imposing temporary tax to curb the cheap steel imports from China, Japan, and South Korea. Additionally, the government is actively addressing concerns related to substandard steel imports to the country.

JSW Steel has informed the exchanges that it has been declared the preferred bidder for Codli Mineral Block XII, Dharbandora, Goa. The company secured this status with the highest offer price at 92.6% of “Value of mineral dispatched”. The estimated Iron Ore resources at the site is 48.5 million tonne, in addition to 2.7 million tonne of ore in dumps. Additionally, its subsidiary company JSW Steel Italy SrL has signed a commercial agreement Metinvest Adria S.p.A.. As part of this agreement, Metinvest Adria is obliged to pay a release fee of Euro 30 Mn to the company. This development aligns with the MOU signed between JSW and Ministry of Industries and Made in Italy (MIMIT) in March’24, which outlines a mechanism for transferring rights related to the northern area of the property.

Power Grid, pursuant to its selection as the successful bidder under Tariff based competitive bidding, has acquired Khavda V-A Power Transmission Limited, the Project SPV to establish “Transmission System for evacuation of power from potential renewable energy zone in Khavda area of Gujarat under Phase-V (8 GW)on BOOT basis.The project comprises establishment of 6000 MW, ±800 kV HVDC terminal stations at KPS2 (Gujarat) & Nagpur (Maharasthra), ±800 kV HVDC KPS2 – Nagpur Bipole line (~1200 km) traversing in the states of Gujarat & Maharasthra, LILO of Wardha – Raipur 765 kV D/c line at Nagpur (Maharashtra), and associated equipment/interconnections at terminal stations.
