  • Alok Industries Ltd. is an Indian textile manufacturing company based in Mumbai. It has a market capitalization worth Rs. 12,586 crores as of March 31, 2022. Its incorporation date is February 11, 1993. As of December 2021, it reported consolidated net sales worth Rs. 2,129.60 crores, up 75.54% Y-o-Y. The company is listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) with the code 521070 and listed on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) with the code ALOKINDSEQ.

    Alok Industries Ltd. is one of the largest fully-integrated textile companies in the country, manufacturing textile, leather, and other apparel products. Its primary business involves knitting, homemade textiles, weaving, readymade garments, and polyester yarns. In 1993, the company became public and got listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange with an IPO worth Rs. 4.5 crore. It exports 26% of its products to South America, Africa, Asia, Europe, and the US.

    Alok Industries Ltd. is the parent company for Alok H&A Ltd. The brand has 250 stores in India. In 2012, the company’s turnover crossed Rs. 8900 crores, while the exports reached Rs. 3030 crores. The company also won the Gold Trophy for Global Exports in the Fabrics Category. In 2014, the company was awarded the Gold Trophy by the Cotton Textile Exports Council of India for the highest exports of fabrics under Category II.

    The promoters of the company include Reliance Industries Limited and JM Financial Asset Reconstruction Company Limited, with 40.01% and 34.99% shareholding, respectively. Public shareholders have a 22.81% share, while Foreign Institutional Investors hold a 1.45% share. The top management includes Mr. A Siddharth as Chairman and Independent Director.
