  • NMDC Ltd is a listed company that operates in Mining & Mineral products and has a market capitalization of Rs 489216.47 crore on 18th August 2021. At the end of June 2021, it registered revenue of Rs 6512.21 crores. The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange have assigned number 526371 and scrip code NMDC. As of 17th August 2021, NMDC Ltd is trading at Rs. 166.90.

    NMDC Ltd was incorporated on 15th November 1958, as a fully owned government company named National Mineral Development Corporation Pvt Ltd. In the year 1959-60, the company’s name has been changed from National Mineral Development Corporation Pvt Ltd to National Mineral Development Corporation Limited. NMDC is India’s single largest iron ore producer principally operate its three fully mechanized iron ore mining complexes at Kirandul and Bacheli within the State of Chhattisgarh and Donimalai in the State of Karnataka, each of which mines consists of several iron ore mines. In starting years of incorporation, the company sells its products to domestic markets. Department of Public Enterprise, Govt. of India recognized NDMC Ltd as Mini Ratan in 1998. During the year 2009-10, the Govt. of India disinvested 8.38% of their holding within the company aggregating 332,243,200 equity shares of the face value of Re.1/- each through an Offer for Sale. NMDC signed an MoU on 2nd April 2018 with Indian Rare Earths Limited to explore opportunities in rare earth in India and abroad and also in setting up the downstream value chain for RE compounds.

    In June 2021, net sales were Rs 6512.21 crore, up 236.11% from Rs 1937.50 crore in June 2020. The quarterly Net Profit in June 2021 was Rs. 3192.84 crore, up 499.14% from Rs. 532.90 crore in June 2020. In June 2020, EBITDA will be Rs. 4318.77 crore, up 428.43% from Rs. 817.28 crore in June 2020. From Rs. 1.73 in June 2020, NDMC Ltd EPS has risen to Rs. 10.87 in June 2021. NDMC Ltd’s stock closed at 92.54 on 13th August 2020 (NSE) and has returned 54.26% in the last six months and 85.60% in the previous year.
