The company was incorporated on January 1, 1992, and it has reported a total income of Rs. 5.65 crore in the April-June quarter of the financial year 2021-2022. The company is listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) with the number 532439 and scrip code OLECTRA.

Olectra Greentech Limited is the first and largest electric bus manufacturer in India. The company has deployed diverse variants of electric buses in the country and is expanding its portfolio in the e-mobility sector with three-wheelers, electric autos, and trucks. The principal aim of the company is to come up with a better eco-friendly travel option, which is easy and safe for the planet. As per reports, it has delivered approximately 450 buses to various states under the flagship electric vehicle promotion scheme of the central government. The company’s 150-acre land in Hyderabad with an investment of more than 600 crore is a big leap for its future endeavors. The promoters of the company lowered their holdings from 51.74% to 51.62% in the December quarter of 2021 with retailers taking 39.21%, foreign institutional investors 9.13%, and other domestic investors around 0.4% with nothing in mutual funds.

The net revenue of the company as of March 2021 is Rs. 277.22 crore. In the December quarter of 2021, the net profit of the organisation was valued at Rs. 12.49 crore against a low margin of 4.57% in the previous quarter. The sales also hiked by Rs. 207.13 crore in the December quarter again in comparison to quite a low value of Rs. 60.13 crore in December 2020. Speaking about the company’s revenue growth, it is growing at a rate of 25.34%, which is much ahead of the industry average of around 6.56%. The net income is also quite significant with a yearly rate of 6.86%. Olectra Genentech share price closed at Rs. 687.75 per Olectra share as of April 1, 2022.
