COMEX Gold is slightly up Thursday from an over one-month low registered last week although volumes stay thin in the holiday season. The counter is currently quoting at $2638 an ounce, up 0.13% on the day. Slight weakness in dollar index from recent spike amid a more cautious outlook on US interest rates is keeping the yellow metal supported. The precious metal is set to end the year with remarkable gains amid heightened geopolitical tensions and monetary easing by major central banks though the movement in recent weeks has been less optimistic with the commodity down 2.5% in November and 1.50% in December so far. MCX Gold futures are up 0.42% at Rs 76572 per 10 grams.
