Indices trade with minor cuts, realty shares rallies for 4th day

The benchmark indices continued to trade with limited losses in morning trade. The Nifty traded below the 19,100 level. Realty extended gains for the fourth consecutive trading session.

At 10:29 IST, the barometer index, the S&P BSE Sensex, was down 124.07 points or 0.19% to 63,750.86. The Nifty 50 index shed 26.55 points or 0.14% to 19,053.05.

In the broader market, the S&P BSE Mid-Cap index declined 0.09% while the S&P BSE Small-Cap index gained 0.37%.

The market breadth is strong, On the BSE, 1,943 shares rose and 1,271 shares fell. A total of 197 shares were unchanged.

New Listing:

Shares of Blue Jet Healthcare were quoting at Rs 395.85 at 10:22 IST on the BSE, representing a premium of 14.41% as compared with the issue price of Rs 346.

The scrip was listed at Rs 359.90, exhibiting a premium of 4.02% to the issue price.

So far, the stock hit a high of Rs 395.85 and a low of Rs 359.90. On the BSE, over 15.71 lakh shares of the company were traded in the counter so far.

Buzzing Index:

The Nifty Realty index rose 1.30% to 610.85. The index jumped 6.82% in four trading sessions.

DLF (up 3.37%), Sobha (up 2.64%), Phoenix Mills (up 1.83%), Brigade Enterprises (up 1.58%) and Swan Energy (up 1.47%), Godrej Properties (up 1.27%), Oberoi Realty (up 0.92%), Mahindra Lifespace Developers (up 0.37%) and Macrotech Developers (up 0.29%) edged higher.

Stocks in Spotlight:

Bajaj Auto rose 1.19%. The company said that it has sold 471,188 auto units in the month of October 2023, which is higher by 19% as compared with 395,238 units sold in the same period last year. While the company�s domestic sales have risen by 36% to 329,618 units, exports have declined by 7% to 141,570 units in October 2023 over October 2022. Bajaj has sold 408,144 units of 2-wheelers (up 19% YoY) and 63,044 units of commercial vehicles (up 18% YoY) during the period under review.

Escorts Kubota fell 2.59% after the company said that its Agri Machinery Business Division has sold 13,205 tractors in October 2023, which is lower by 8.9% as compared with the same period last year. The company had sold 14,492 tractors in October 2022. While domestic sales declined by 8.7% to 12,642 units, tractor exports fell by 13.3% to 563 units in October 2023 over October 2022.
