Quick Wrap: Nifty Metal Index registers a drop of 1.62%, NIFTY Crashes 1.39%

Nifty Metal index closed down 1.62% at 6398.05 today. The index has lost 6.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, JSW Steel Ltd fell 2.62%, Adani Enterprises Ltd shed 2.38% and Vedanta Ltd slipped 2.10%. The Nifty Metal index has increased 10.00% over last one year compared to the 6.80% spike in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Auto index has slid 1.59% and Nifty Financial Services index has slid 1.57% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has declined 1.39% to close at 18857.25 while the SENSEX has declined 1.41% to close at 63148.15 today.
